Rick Segal Elected an APTA Catherine Worthingham Fellow

Rick Segal, Ph.D., PT, Adjunct Faculty Member, has been selected as a Catherine Worthingham Fellow of the APTA. Only candidates who successfully meet all of the criteria below are considered by APTA's Board of Directors for election to the Catherine Worthingham Fellow membership category:

  1. Demonstrated advancement of the profession of physical therapy in at least one of the four domains of research, education, practice, or advocacy.
  2. National recognition by APTA members and by leaders outside the physical therapy profession, with supporting documentation of achievements that have resulted in lasting contributions in at least two of the four domains of research, education, practice, or advocacy.
  3. Frequent and sustained contributions (leadership, influence, and achievements) to advance the profession over a period of not less than fifteen years.
  4. Definitive ways in which advancement of the physical therapy profession or lasting contributions have been achieved.
