Orthopedic Residency Program

Admissions Criteria

The application criteria for the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program involves the following components:

  • Graduate of an accredited APTA entry level physical therapy program
  • Be a licensed physical therapist in the state of Georgia
  • Submit an application for the Emory Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program
  • Two letters of recommendation from a licensed physical therapist whose primary practice is in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. The individual writing the letter of recommendation should sign their name across the sealed envelope
  • Career statement
  • Current curriculum vitae
  • Current CPR certification

Admission Process

The application criteria should be submitted to the Division of Physical Therapy Program Coordinator. Please see RFPTCAS for application deadline. Applications to the Orthopedic Physical Therapy residency will be reviewed by the Program Coordinator. All applicants will be notified of their status prior to May 1st by phone or by mail. All applicants will receive a written letter notifying the resident of their status. Those residents selected for the program will receive a welcome letter and a letter of intent. The signed letter of intent, outlining the expectations of each resident, will be submitted to the Program Coordinator during the first week of the residency program during the orientation process.
