Each year, the first year doctor of physical therapy (DPT) students hold a service of gratitude to honor the people who donated their bodies to health professions education. This year at the non-denominational service, held at Emory's Canon Chapel at noon on Friday, July 27th. This is a joyful and thought-provoking ceremony. Students expressed their gratitude for the wonderful gift they received through originals poems, song (the beautifully sung Amazing Grace), flute, baton twirling and lyric dance. Student from the anatomy class of Georgia Tech's Prosthetics and Orthotics program joined Emory's DPT students in this service. Members of Emory's DPT program faculty and staff were also in attendance at the service.
