Faculty Member Honored by Students with Crystal Apple Award

Jeffery HoderJeffery Hoder, Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine, was honored for his demonstration of Excellence in Professional School Education with the Crystal Apple Award in a ceremony on February 23. Eight Emory professors, cited by their students as going above and beyond in their search for knowledge and involvement in the Emory community, earned the 10th annual Crystal Apple Awards. The annual awards for excellence in teaching are sponsored by the Residence Hall Association.

Dr. Hoder teaches the adult content of the neuro-rehabilitation complex in the Division of Physical Therapy. Dr. Hoder also is a clinician in the Movement Disorders Clinic, specializing in the treatment of individuals with Parkinson's Disease, Huntington's Disease and Cerebellar ataxia, as well as in the Dizziness and Balance Center. Dr. Hoder received both his DPT and MS degrees in Physical Therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Additionally, he received his clinical subspecialty certification in Neurology (NCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
