Overview

My responsibilites at Emory include teaching, clinical service, and research. I teach classes related to the physical therapy needs of children across the Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculm. Additionally, I teach an advanced elective course in pediatric physical therapy and an elective course in Spanish for Physical Therapists. I am a board certified clinical specialist in pediatric physical therapy (PCS) with over 35 years of continuous clinical practice in pediatrics.

Advocacy for children with disabilities and for pediatric physical therapists continues to be an important part of my professional life. I have served in many roles for the Pediatric Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and as a member of planning and advisement committees for early intervention programs in the state of Georgia.
